Meanwhile, Candace is at the mercy of the Malones and is forced to come clean about not being pregnant to save herself from a forced abortion. Later, Amanda buys a gun from a pawnshop and asks the clerk some loaded questions about shooting professors. Finally, much to Maggie's surprise and chagrin, Jim holds a press conference and announces that he has been part of a cover-up.
