The case changes direction when Horatio and the team learn that the schoolmaster's daughter may have had something to do with the murder and evidence reveals that the victim was having an affair with his chemistry teacher.

Meanwhile, Big Dee Dee fears that she and Phyllis may actually have things in common after they run into each other at a funeral and discover that they both dated the deceased.

Joan finds the perfect space for her restaurant, but doesn't have the money to lease it immediately. Toni suggests that she get an investor, then tries to arrange a truce (for business purposes only) between Joan and the one person she knows who can supply enough capital for the restaurant: William. Meanwhile, Joan and Maya grow concerned by Lynn's behavior after she begins performing on the streets while painted up as a robot.

Meanwhile, Sam hosts Bernard Taylor (guest star George Hamilton) who intentionally throws all of his money down the drain so his soon to be ex gets half of nothing in the divorce settlement. Elsewhere, Mary, Nessa and Delinda go in search of a hidden treasure in the desert and become stranded in the wild until Clint Black (as himself), who's staying near by, finds the girls and rescues them from their nightmare.

A young prostitute, Angela Dutton, plunges to her death from the eleventh floor balcony of a block of flats. The police begin a murder enquiry and discover that she was the daughter of a seventies TV star who was also found murdered twelve years earlier, wrapped in blue eiderdown. The killer was never found. D.C.S. Walker heads the investigation into the two murders, with the aid of D.C.I. Connor and the rest of the team. They investigate to find out why Angela Dutton died - did she find her mother's killer, or did one of her three high-paying clients kill her?
