The tenants have a sidewalk sale to pay for the repairs needed to fix up 227. Lester asks Mary not to sell his aunt's old, ugly lamp, but she does anyway, for $5. When Lester finds out, he is upset, but for more reasons than one. The lamp is where he hid the profits of the sale. The tenants get upset with Mary and outcast her. Luckily for her, the wife of the gentleman who bought the lamp comes by her apartment to give it back to Mary, because she did not like the lamp either. They buy it back from the couple for $50 and got the money back to save 227.

McCall is raped and beaten by a diplomat who has a strange opinion of the way to treat women. Hunter is angry, but can do nothing when the culprit claims diplomatic immunity. McCall is appalled to find that the man's father shares his attitude toward women.

But this leads to a very stressful situation for him as his family wants him to make Astro the winner, as well as the boss wanting him to insure his wife's poodle comes out on top, and even a mobster named Mangler Mars gets into the act by making George choose his bulldog, Starbite, as the top dog. What choice will George make? In the end, Mrs. Spacely's pooch gets taken away to give birth to puppies; Starbite is revealed to be a stolen dog which gets the mobsters arrested; and Astro wins, with a stray dog winning a consolation prize: dog food.
Voltron: Defender of the Universe

The Voltron Force meet Mary Ann, who Coran said was the greatest robotics scientist in the universe. Zarkon's forces have taken one of her robots and turned it into a weapon for evil. Mary Ann, who is a pacifist, gets into an argument with the team over whether or not violence is ever the answer. As she heads for her home planet, Caspia, Keith and the others fear she may be walking into trouble, and decide to follow her. Their suspicions turn out to be right as Haggar and Cossack are waiting. Pidge finds Mary Ann first and provides her with cover fire so she can get away. Haggar then captures Pidge and wants to exchange him for Mary Ann and her robotics knowledge.
